DAVID KAHLE, PASTOR

Pastor Kahle arrived at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Olathe, Kansas in November of 2021 after serving 16 years at Zion Lutheran Church in Imperial, Nebraska. He grew up on a farm near Kearney, Nebraska After graduating from high school he entered the Army. He is a veteran of Desert Storm where he served as a Cavalry Scout. He later entered the Army as a registered nurse. He has 9 years of nursing experience primarily in emergency medicine. He earned his Masters of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana entering full time ministry in 2005.
He is joyously married to the best woman in the world, Merinda. They will celebrate 30 years of marriage in July of 2022. They are blessed with a beautiful and loving daughter, Tapainga, who lives near their current call. Pastor loves gardening, composting, reading books on dirt, home improvement, cooking, eating, a good glass of bourbon and reading theology. He thrives off of connecting with people and cannot wait to meet you! (If we have not met yet!).

Carly enjoys hanging out with her family, especially her nieces! She also loves traveling, which she doesn’t get to do very often. She loves cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals and likes watching Nascar.
NARA NEWCOMER, PARISH MUSICIAN

Nara earned her B.A. in piano with a minor in sacred music/organ from Bethany College. She also holds master's degrees in music history and library science. In addition to working part-time for Redeemer, Nara is the head of the music/media library at UMKC. She is a native of Salina, KS and enjoys biking, folk dancing, traveling and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
LORI BELDEN, PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR

Lori was first a teacher at the Preschool until she took on the position of Preschool Director in August 2016. She is married to Brian and has three children, Eli, Jocelyn and Audrey. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Services from Iowa State University. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching her kids play soccer, baseball, golf and gymnastics and cheering on Sporting KC and the KC Royals.
